POSTER GUIDELINES

Technical details: Each poster should be ~32 inches high x ~40 inches wide. Today, almost all posters are generated on a wide-format color printer (FedEx/Kinko’s, Office Max, etc. have them); this ensures a polished-looking presentation and makes it easy to control the final size of the poster.

We highly recommend that you allot space for a title (using 4-inch-high letters) running across the top of your poster; this will make it much easier for people strolling through the posters to immediately grasp your subject. The title should match the one you provided in your extended abstract submission. Posters will be displayed for the entire conference in the Missouri Ballroom of the Yellowstone Convention Center at Big Sky.

If you wish to have your poster included in the program guide, please create a one page 8.5” x 11” pdf for use in the program booklet and send to the email address below by 7/15/24.

Posters accompanied by digital technology (e.g., laptops running databases, GIS, Web sites, etc.) are welcome; however, you’ll need to confirm a table space with the Poster Workgroup chair. You must provide all necessary hardware (including extension cords and duct tape to secure cords to the floor). The conference organizers, co-sponsors, and the hotel can assume no responsibility for your laptop or any other equipment. Complimentary Wi-Fi service is available for web-based demos. Standard posters, without digital accompaniment, will be placed on a poster panel.

The set-up window for all posters is on Tuesday, September 3, from 9-11AM in the Missouri Ballroom in the convention space at Big Sky. All posters must be in place by 11AM that day.

The Poster Session will occur on Tuesday evening, September 3, from 6-9PM. An evening reception will be held concurrently with the poster session with a taco buffet and cash bar. Judges from the conference committee will rate posters on layout and design, clarity of message, and content. Please be available during the poster session to answer questions at your poster. All posters, handouts, and other materials must be removed by noon on Thursday, September 5. Questions? Email us!
